A Film Trip Co-Host brings a skill, craft, knowledge, or personality that gives your experience its direction. A chef who shares their process while you document the room. Together you create something neither could make alone.

Co-hosts are not required for experiences. They simply elevate what it becomes. Any compensation is entirely your call, calculated from your net payout after Film Trips fees.

When your listing is complete with a strong portfolio, clear starting investment, and specific deliverables you become discoverable to the clients already searching for what you offer. The more intentional your listing is the more aligned the clients who find you will be. Film Trips puts your work in front of people who are actively looking. Your listing does the rest.

  • You design the concept, choose the location, set the date and starting investment, and list it on Film Trips as a Public or Private Film Trip. For Public Film Trips you set a ticket price, a maximum group size, and a date. Clients browse, purchase tickets, and show up. For Private Film Trips you list the experience format and starting investment. Clients inquire or book directly and you co-design the final details together. You lead the experience from start to finish. Film Trips handles the booking, payment, and payout. All you have to do is show up and create.

  • Film Trips charges a 15% platform fee on the creator side of every completed booking. You keep 85% of your quoted rate. For Content Services, payment is held by Film Trips and released to you once the client confirms content delivery or automatically after 14 days. For Public Film Trip Experiences, ticket funds are released to you two days after the experience concludes. For Private Film Trip Experiences, payment is released after the experience is delivered and confirmed. All payouts are processed through Stripe.

  • No. Film Trips is not a social media platform. Your follower count has no bearing on your ability to get booked or host experiences here. Clients on Film Trips are looking for aligned local creators whose work matches their vision. They are making decisions based on your portfolio, your starting investment, and your listing quality. Not your Instagram following. Film Trips was built specifically to give talented creators a path to visibility and income that is not dependent on an algorithm.

Content Services connect you with clients who need coverage for their events and projects. Film Trip Experiences give you a stage to build something of your own around what moves you. A food photographer can cover a restaurant's launch event as a Content Service and host a monthly food and lifestyle experience as a Public Film Trip. Both paths grow your reputation, your reviews, and your community on Film Trips.
