Meet the Founder, Imani Lenz
Film Trips was built from a simple observation.
There are thousands of creators capable of hosting meaningful, intimate experiences — and thousands of people with communities looking for new ways to activate and engage their audience. But they struggle to find each other.
After five years as a full-time freelancer documenting real people, real places, and real moments, I saw the same pattern repeatedly: many experiences either went undocumented, became overproduced, or were buried under traditional marketing complexity.
At the same time, I watched firsthand how difficult it was for a talented creator — like my wife, an artist & photographer hosting intimate painting experiences — to get in front of the right communities. Not because her work wasn’t strong. But because the system to connect creators and community leaders simply didn’t exist. That gap became clear.
Film Trips is designed to sit at the intersection of community activation and authentic content creation. It creates a structured, friction-free way for people with communities to bring curated experiences to their audience — and for local creators to host and document those experiences naturally.
